More and more October Updates
Hello Spacepilots!
A lot has already happened again since the major October update – and just like last time, a large part of these changes comes directly from your feedback.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to send us ideas, requests and criticism through the feedback button! Many of the changes below would not have happened in this form without your input.
Here is an overview of everything new since October 3.
🤝 1. New: Help Requests via the Galaxy Map
Until now, it could sometimes be difficult to get in touch with nearby players. Some players have restricted private messages, while others may simply not know that you need help.
That is why we have introduced the new Help Requests.
On the Galaxy Map, you will now find a new “Request” button when viewing another player's planet. This allows you to send predefined requests.
Because these use fixed standard messages, they can also be delivered when the recipient has restricted private messages.
To prevent the system from being abused, several rules apply:
- Requests can only be sent to active players near you. The player must be in the same galaxy and no more than 10 systems away from your nearest planet.
- The button is not shown for inactive players, players in Vacation Mode, Spacia or team accounts.
- You can only have one open request per player at a time.
- You can send a maximum of 20 requests per day in total.
- Players who have placed you on their ignore list will not receive requests from you.
- Unanswered requests expire after 72 hours.
- Requests and responses are marked with a coloured badge in the subject line of your messages.
The following request types are available:
🎁 Request Resources
You can ask another player for a resource gift.
The recipient decides whether they want to help and can choose to send either half or the full requested amount.
- Resources are sent as a Ghost Fleet: without ships and without fuel costs.
- The fleet is invisible to other players in the Galaxy Scanner.
- However, the flight still occupies one fleet slot for the player sending the resources.
- The existing pushing rules apply to prevent account pushing.
- You can only request resources if you have no more than 75% of the other player's points.
- You must not be ranked in the Top 100.
- There must be no registered IP match between the two accounts.
- You can request resources from the same player only once per week.
⚖️ Resource Trading – Currently Locked
This request allows you to offer another player one resource at the Trader exchange rate in return for a different resource.
- If the other player accepts, both players send their delivery using Transmitters.
- The resources are first placed into escrow.
- Only once both sides have delivered can each player collect the resources they are receiving.
- The resources must be collected on the planet specified for the trade.
- If a player does not send their delivery within 72 hours, the trade is cancelled.
- The other player receives their resources back.
- The player who failed to send their delivery in time is blocked from trading for 14 days.
We are currently still testing the trading system internally before enabling it for everyone.
You can already see the option in the menu, but it will remain locked for now.
🕊️ Please Stop Attacking
If another player has attacked you within the last 3 days, you can send them a friendly request asking them to stop.
They can respond with “OK”, “OK, sorry” or “No”.
This is explicitly not a technical attack protection. It is simply an agreement between players.
But sometimes a direct and friendly request is enough – and afterwards, at least you know where you stand.
We deliberately decided not to reward attackers for respecting this agreement. We do not want players to deliberately attack smaller accounts simply to trigger these requests and potentially gain rewards from them.
🏰 Alliance Requests
Invite:
If you are in an alliance and have permission to accept applications, you can directly invite players who are not currently in an alliance.
The invitation shows the player:
- your alliance name and tag,
- the number of members,
- the alliance leader,
- and a link to the alliance page.
By clicking “Join Alliance …”, the player becomes a member immediately – initially without a rank.
Apply:
If you are not in an alliance and the other player is, “Write Application” takes you directly to a prepared application for their alliance.
You only need to write your own application text.
🚀 2. Spacia
Rookie Ranking in the Spacia Raid
Until now, smaller players had very little chance of competing with the largest accounts in the Spacia Raid ranking.
That is why there are now two separate rankings, which you can switch between using two tabs at the top:
- Ranking 250M+
- Rookie < 250M
Your category is determined when you complete your first Spacia raid of the week, based on the highest point total you have ever reached.
Your category then remains unchanged until the end of the week, even if you cross the 250 million point threshold during that week.
Players ranked 1st through 20th in both rankings receive War Emblems.
There is also a new alliance bonus:
Every Rookie who reaches the Top 20 of the Rookie ranking gives their entire alliance 1 day of +25% production.
Multiple successful Rookies from the same alliance are added together, up to a maximum of 10 days.
The production bonus begins when the rewards are distributed on the Friday following the respective Spacia Week.
This means alliances now also benefit from having smaller players who actively hunt Spacias themselves.
On the Raid page, you can always see how many bonus days your Rookies would currently earn for your alliance.
More Spacia Boosts: Large and Small
The number of Spacia Boosts has been expanded.
- There are still 3 large Boosts, just as before.
- In addition, there are now 7 small Boosts.
- During Spacia Week, there are even 15 small Boosts.
- The reinforcement fleet of a small Boost contains roughly 30–60% of the strength of a large Boost.
- Small Boosts can be identified on the Galaxy Map by their smaller aura and the “Small Boost” badge.
This means not every boosted Spacia will be equally attractive to the largest players, giving smaller players more realistic opportunities to intercept one themselves.
Attacks During the Arrival Window
Combat around arriving reinforcement fleets has also been adjusted:
- If several attacks arrive shortly after the reinforcement fleet, each attack fights whatever remains of that fleet at the time.
- Each of these battles counts towards your weekly limit.
- Battles against boosted Spacias are marked with a BOOSTED badge in your messages.
More Accurate Galaxy Scanner
Following your feedback, we have also improved the timing display in the Galaxy Scanner:
- Remaining flight times are now displayed more accurately.
- The countdown no longer gets stuck at the end.
- If two fleets arrive during the same second, the stationing fleet is shown first.
- Flight times in the fleet dispatch screen are now also displayed correctly at all speed settings.
🛸 3. Fleets
There are also several improvements to fleet management:
- Quick access for Particle Cannon and Teleporter: On the Fleet page, both buildings of the selected planet are now shown directly below the target selection, including their current charge level and a button. You no longer need to open the individual building pages first.
- “Only Flights from Here”: A new filter at the top of the fleet list lets you display only flights belonging to the currently selected planet or asteroid. This is especially useful when many fleets are travelling at the same time.
- Recall directly from the main screen: In the Command Center fleet overview, hover over one of your outbound flights and an “x” appears on the far right. Clicking it recalls the fleet immediately.
- Clickable coordinates: Clicking a coordinate in Fleet Activity opens the Galaxy Map directly in the corresponding system.
⚔️ 4. Battles and Messages
- Battle list with results: In your messages, each battle now shows either destroyed units or loot converted into Spice. You can switch between the two views using a button.
- Hovering over a battle shows a short summary including both sides' losses, the debris field and the loot. Resources are now displayed clearly using their respective icons.
- Clearer subject lines: Battle reports now consistently use the format “[Coordinates] Target Name”.
- Hall of Fame: Clicking a player's name shows all of that player's battles in the Hall of Fame across every universe in which they play.
- Fleet mailbox: Flight types can now also be enabled or disabled all at once in the classic design using “all” and “none”.
🎯 Espionage Against Top 50 Players
Since the last update, Top 50 players can be attacked by everyone.
To prevent this rule from being used to permanently spy on top-ranked players from far outside the normal attack zone, an additional rule now applies:
- A Top 50 player who is outside your normal attack zone can only be spied on after you have attacked them.
- Launching the attack is enough to unlock espionage.
- From that point onward, you can spy on the player for 14 days – the same period during which that player is allowed to counterattack you.
The following exceptions remain unchanged:
- If the player is already within your normal attack zone, you can spy on them normally.
- If the player has attacked you, you may also spy on them.
- If you are in the Top 50 yourself, this restriction does not apply to you.
- Inactive players can still be spied on normally.
This rule applies in all universes using the Top 50 rule.
The Galaxy Map and fleet dispatch screen will inform you when espionage is not yet available.
✨ 5. Further Improvements
- Debris Field Indicator: Under Settings → Galaxy Map, there is a new option called “Stronger Debris Field Indicator”. If a debris field exists in the currently displayed system, the lower bar of the map lights up. Normal debris fields are shown in blue, while event debris fields are shown in orange.
- Solar Cells: Solar Cells now behave like defense units. The Particle Cannon can hit them and specifically select them as a priority target. Destroyed Solar Cells also have a chance to be rebuilt after a battle.
- Transmitters: The new Attack Zones 19, starting at 1 billion points, and 20, starting at 5 billion points, now also increase Transmitter rewards.
- Pioneer Path: The box in the Command Center can now be hidden directly after logging in.
🔧 6. Smaller Fixes
- VIP: The displayed number of free Transmitter uses for VIP levels was incorrect. The correct amount was always credited; the display now matches it as well.
- Fleeter Specialization: The speed bonus for Recyclers was not applied when fleets were dispatched through Fleet Commands.
- Messages: Losing an attack against Spacia could cause the message list to stop loading correctly.
- Unread Messages: The unread message counter in the classic design now updates reliably.
Once again, a big thank you for all your feedback!
Some requests could be implemented immediately, while others are being taken into our upcoming discussions and planning.
So please keep sending us your ideas, requests and criticism – we read everything.
Have fun playing!
Best regards,
