Patch Notes 2026.11.4
Hello mayors,
we like to sum up several updates in one post. Especially in these early days every bug report and every piece of feedback is very important to us, which is why updates are coming out in quick succession right now. This post covers everything from 2026.11.2, 2026.11.3 and 2026.11.4.
2026.11.4 has been live in the browser, on Steam, on Epic and as PC download since November 3. The apps for iOS and Android will follow soon.
New features
- Start without the tutorial: When you skip the tutorial, you now choose how to start. "With tasks" gives you rewards, gifts and short build times as in the tutorial, and your tasks are in the overview. "Hard mode" has no rewards, no gifts and normal build times. Only the Development Loan remains.
- Production in the Research Lab: In the Synthesis tab you can now produce rubies and artifacts. A ruby costs $250,000, 250 spice and 500 kryptonite and takes 1 game day, but at least 1 hour. An artifact costs 3 rubies, $500,000 and 250 spice and takes 3 game days, but at least 3 hours.
- Lab queue: Up to 3 orders fit on the synthesis slot, 5 with Premium. You can cancel any order and get the full cost back.
- Skyscraper window: A click on a floor opens the tabs "Floor" and "Analysis". The analysis shows location and mood with all their parts. Base and roof have their own tabs.
- Stations in the base: Police, fire brigade and hospital inside a skyscraper open their own window. The "Skyscraper" tab takes you back. Up top, airships fly instead of helicopters.
- Roof attractions in 3D: Café, VIP penthouse with pool, landing pad, fleet base, park, mega screen and amusement park with roller coaster. People walk around on the roofs. The selection shows pictures instead of symbols.
- Cloud cover: The high-rise level now sits above real clouds.
- PC download for Linux: The start page and the city selection now also offer the Linux launcher.
- PC launcher: The launcher shows speed and remaining time while downloading and keeps itself up to date. The game replaces older launchers on its own.
- Rewards in your mailbox: Rewards for your feedback arrive as a message in your city's mailbox. Collect money and rubies there like any other mail.
Changes
- Research Lab: The lab has a new look, with rooms behind the windows, a honeycomb fence, test machines and running lights.
- University: Many more students on the square, people behind the glass and a new courtyard.
- Spice mines: Two spice mines now need at least 50 tiles between them. The preview already shows this while placing. Mines you have already built stay.
- Warehouse: When you change the goods type, there is a new option "Move and switch".
- Power: The grid areas have a smooth edge.
- App: The logo menu and the city selection show the same symbols as in the browser, and buttons react when you hover and press them.
- Languages: All new texts are available in all languages.
Bug fixes
- With a rotated fire station, the fire engine drives to the fire again instead of spraying across the city from far away.
- A click on buildings of the upper level (skyscrapers, high-rises) now hits the building.
- Mac: No more crash at start when files from an old website download were still there.
- Intersections and roundabouts at the end of a bridge can be clicked and built.
- An old roundabout next to a highway intersection no longer blocks every new road in the city.
- No more roads over rocks. The preview shows this before you click.
- No ground building can be placed on the foot of a ramp any more. The preview warns you first.
- The offline catch-up now counts bought boosters correctly.
- Browser: The login loop in Safari on the start page and the city selection is fixed.
- Slanted buttons show their full border again, and red counters on buttons and tabs are no longer cut off.
Thank you for all your reports and ideas! Keep them coming through the feedback in the logo menu or here in the forum.
Best regards
your District Null Team
